Local soil backfilling of nodular graphite cast pipe during pressure test

The newly installed pipes usually undergo pressure tests after backfilling. Under abnormal conditions, if pressure test or air tightness test is required before backfilling is completed, or in order to facilitate the inspection of the interface part of the pipe, the body part between the two interfaces should be backfilled in order to prevent its movement. Thrust restriction should also be properly considered during the test.
